Arranged to meet others at the Slug & Lettuce at 12 for lunch. Eventually got in at 12.30??....Sleepy staff (or maybe hanging) were scarce but we eventually got some drinks. Ordered lunch for 8 people which we didn't have to wait too long for. All the lunches were given either good/average. No atmosphere because the place was empty.
Burger was nice. Staff are nice. My potatoes fries were cold and rubbery when I got them
Good boozer. The food in these places is generally usually passable too, but not eaten at this one. Good selection of lagers too.
Service was fine but tables were sticky, not tidied up or ready for next customers. Food was all reheated, to the point it burnt to the plate. Wouldn't go back.
Only been here weekdays lunch time not busy but could be fuller at night. Nice large pub with good food at reasonable price. Not a great range of beers.
