Tried to drive my Volkswagen down the railway, but a man in his midday biggie knocked me off my hinges. A shameful experience.
woeful experience had been giving the wrong ticket then re-charged due to the young cashier at the desk not accepting a true explanation. Thanks very much guys. Customer service and organisation needs to be improved dramatically!
Disclosure, I live In Chelmsford; I arrive 7 minutes early to get a train ticket, in queue all three cashiers occupied my train leaves in 7 minutes, One women asks the cashier to get a ticket to Clacton to which the cashier spends over 7 minutes painfully explaining to here there is no train station at Clacton, other women spends 5 minutes on her phone at the cashiers desk seemingly as if shes on a coffee break, while the last person is standing at the cashiers desk for 7 minutes in silence not a word exchange, they probably all did they useless jobs for longer since I left as the next train is in an hour. But thank you to the lovely people who waste everyones time because its not like theres people who need to be somewhere. Because apparently to Chelmsford railway station there isnt anywhere to be just a nice chat to be had.
The stairs for exiting still woefully under-speced for the sheer volume of passengers passing through during rush hour(s).And the station announcers have an annoying habit of shouting out the train announcements over the top of the automated announcements which gives the same information.The result? An inaudible noise.Switch off ONE of them please? Information overload.
Station has been modernised in recent years bringing good improvements. There is now decent ticket office and plenty of ticket machines which are needed as this place can be very busy. Fast frequent services to London but when things go wrong they are always handled badly.
