Re-reviewing my original post since TWICE now my girlfriend has visited the shop and it's been closed.Not really good enough considering she attended the shop at the time it should have been open. Laziness like this will drive people away from something that really is a niche. Prices are a touch high but the main issue is knowing when the place is open.
Was disappointed on my visit whilst looking for a gift for my husband. My husband loves it so thought i would buy him a gift from there. I am not a drinker so would need advise. Walked in and everybody looked at me as if i were a lepar. Explained why i was there and needed advise on best sellers. Totally not interested at all in helping me choose for him. I definitely would not recommend it.
Great little micropub with a small range of cask beers (usually four on offer at any time) and on tap ciders; plus usually three or four keg beers.In addition, a huge range of bottled beers, from UK, Belgium and rest of Europe. A few cans too.The atmosphere is very friendly; the beers are at least very good and sold at a good price; there is no music or gaming machines. This is a perfect little pub.Beer nirvana.The only downside is it can get very crowded towards the end of the evening.(There are a number of emergency refuges close by.)
Small and friendly pub/bar. Quite unique really. Always a new beer choice and never a duff beer. Classified as a true hidden gem. Honestly it's just really nice.
Great choice of beers. Good, friendly service. Good prices. Locals gave off a bit of local pub for local people vibe when I walked in, but this dissipated. Well worth a visit. Lots of ciders also available.
