This is a closed cemetery which opens officially on heritage open days. However, it is not locked, and you can wander around at will. It's quite small, and has a number of interesting Victorian funeral monuments. It's atmospheric, overgrown in parts; and with some rare trees; on heritage days, volunteers walk you around and show you the interesting graves and trees. It is worth a visit.Corrections to the Google listing. It is not Chelmsford's public cemetery. Therefore the website shown is incorrect; as are opening hours. The spelling of cemetery ("cemetary") used in the title, is incorrect.I have tried to correct these.
