I recently moved to the area and found it very easy to register here and was offered the option of being a private or NHS patient. The appointment I was offered was within 1 week of my call and when I came for my appointment I was greeted well. The dentist was really friendly and polite and made me feel at ease. I will be recommending this dentist to all my friends and family.
So far very very good, the dentist I have is extremely patient kind and communicates everything pre and post treatment. My 3 children are not scared of the dentist and actually helped my daughter give up her dummy that very day success :-) and which on next visit I thanked him profusely for his kindness and patience unlike other surgeries. I changed from one in Brentwood which was absolutely terrible and money orientated. Very pleased so far and my dentist allocated is fantastic.
I have been going to this practice for over twenty years. It has changed owners several times over this period. There clearly is absolutely no loyalty or care for patients regardless of how long you have attended the practice. A few weeks back I had an emergency dental situation, I saw the practice was open saturdays until lunch...called for an emergency appointment, to then be told by what sounded like a ten year old, they do not have a dentist there on saturday....but they are a dentists that is open on saturdays. When questioning this I was told 'it's policy'. Simply ridiculous. I then attended an appointment last week, to be told I needed root canal or an extraction, and to think about what I wanted to do. I've called back to tell them i am in pain and would like to proceed with the extraction....but I now have to wait two weeks because my dentist is on holiday. I asked could one of the other dentist do the extraction because I am in quite a bit of discomfort, I was told no. When I questioned it, I was told 'because it's policy'. As far as I'm concerned I signed up with the practice, not a specific dentist. It is absolutely beyond a joke. Unbelievably this is the short version of how incompetent they are....but hey 'It's policy'.
I was literally in and out at the same time. I had the filling putting into my teeth without cleaning or drying afterwards. Discussed and very disappointed. I wouldnt recommend at all! Very unprofessional.
