Bought two Sugar Gliders from here. One died after 2 months after being told they were the youngest healthiest breeding pair. Paid 180 for them and when we wrote to the owner Bill we received no correspondence despite being in frequent conversation with him prior to purchase. Would highly discourage. Animals are evidently not kept in a caring environment. One of the animals was very overweight and nervous beyond belief.

Lovely little pet shop which is well stocked with all your pet needs, from cat treats and collars to frozen mice for your snake.Staff at The Ark are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. They never mind me and my daughter just going in to look at the animals.The Ark stocks a wide range of pets from the traditional guinea pigs and rabbits to the slightly more exotic rats and chinchillas to the very unusual such as hedgehogs and chipmunks! The shop is clean and the animals are clearly well looked after.
I took my three children to The Ark Animal tour yesterday and had a fantastic couple of hours. Animal welfare is always my top priority and I was very impressed with the cleanliness of enclosures, staff knowledge and how very contented, well cared for and calm the animals appeared. Staff were very friendly and approachable and had a lot of time for us and our children. The owner (Bill) was very knowledgeable about the animals and was very patient with the children. Ensuring they disinfected their hands before and after touching the animals. He clearly cares for the animals in his shop and has a great bond with the resident animals which include a chameleon, cockatoo a very friendly loveable dog and an extremely cute skunk called Stinkerbell..Its our first experience of handling a skunk. Now the whole family want one! The children got to handle and learn a little about rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, various lizards, snakes, sugar gliders, possums, hedgehogs and kittens to name just a few.they even got to feed the chameleon! It was better than a visit to the zoo as the children got to personally experience the animals. They havent stopped talking about it! The price for this was 5 per child which was worth every penny. We will definitely be going back as the children thoroughly enjoyed it and so did we! Its wonderful to actually visit a pet shop where animal care is clearly a priority. Highly recommend visiting but be warnedYou will leave wanting a skunk of your own!
The most amazing Petshop I've ever been to! Lots of birdies and different kind of little animals, even 3 little baby hedgehogs. Quite a good selection of fish as well. And 3 parrots let loose around the shop! My 5 year old daughter loved it! The shopkeeper is a very nice and helpful person. Very impressed!
